We're home!!!

What an amazing trip. Kirstin & Tuff were awesome. They placed 10th in the preliminaries and went on to the finals where they came away with 6th place. Not bad for someone who really didn't have anything planned for finals. Kirstin just showcased how bombproof Tuff is and it worked out great. Even better Kirstin won a prize for being the most dedicated trainer. This was a basket full of Jelly Belly Jelly beans presented by Jelly Belly. Pretty cool! Asked the Mustang Heritage Folks how she was selected and they couldn't tell me. It was not a planned award which makes it that much sweeter, pun intended. They are trying to get me more details on it. I will post pictures and hopefully videos from this weekend very soon. Tuff was adopted by some great people who work with for the BLM and is going back to their ranch in Oklahoma not to far from where he came. We didn't come home with an empty trailer though. We brought back with us Fist Full of Dynamite trained by Joe Weitekamp. Dynamite placed 10th in the Idols division and we also brought home Kryptonite trained by Matt Replogle. Kyptonite placed 11th in the Legends division. Both are resting comfortably in their new pens. I am sure they are glad to be away from all of the commotion. Lots more to come later.

Hi Priscilla & Kirstin,

First of all Congratulation Kirstin you did it!! I'm so happy for you! Love following your blog Priscilla you do a excellent job of keeping us posted on Kirstin & Tuff's progress. I so happy that Tuff has an adopter too. Doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy about all time and hard work that you put into him.

I just wish that I could have attended this year's competition in Fort Worth and introduced myself but it wasn't in the cards for me. Hopefully next year.

I can hardly wait to hear all about your new charges too. How exciting! Did Matt Replogle ride his all the way to Fort Worth like he did last year? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Again congratulations your Kansas Fan here.

Thank you Patti. Yes, Matt did ride Kryptonite all the way from Las Vegas this year. He rode Johnny Landers from Las Vegas last year. So he has really seen a lot of miles. Kryptonite was a little tired from all that he had been through and that might have affected his sellability, but we saw past that. Both Kryptonite & Dynamite are very calm horses, we didn't even know they were behind us on the way home. My girls are looking forward to working with them.

OMG!!!! You all came back with two of them? Wow! Now how did that happen, whose idea was it, what are the plans for both horses? Holy moly! Can you tell I am excited? :-)

I have to say, Kirstin has grown up so much over the past year, and I was so impressed with her and Tuff. She did such a great job with him, and I am so glad he found a great family.

Keep us posted on the new ones. I just know that Brian will be extra glad we came home yesterday...he would be afraid you all would be a bad influence on me! Ha ha!

Until later...Karen and Tripp
