Kirstin of Stockdale, TX selected for Extreme Mustang Makeover

For the 4th consecutive year, Kirstin has been selected as a youth trainer for the Extreme Mustang Makeover yearling division. This year's competition will be held in Murfreesboro, TN Oct 20-22, 2011. Kirstin's heart belongs to the Mustang and she is devoted to promoting the beauty, trainability and versatility of this magnificent animal. Follow along as Kirstin takes this untouched Mustang yearling and turns her into a willing, trusting partner!

About Me

Kirstin's Mustang Project 2011: Hi, my name is Kirstin. I am 17 years old and I am currently training a Mustang Yearling for the Extreme Mustang Makeover. This is my fourth year to train for the Makeover. In 2008 I trained 3 yearlings. In 2009 I had 1 yearling and we placed 6th overall. Last year, I trained 1 yearling;Patriot, and placed 9th overall. I am currently saddle training Patriot. This year's Extreme Makeover competition will be held in Oct, 2011. The picture of me and the Palomino was taken at our local rodeo. I was chosen as Rodeo Queen for 2008-2009. I am very excited to be training a yearling again.

Posting the colors at our local rodeo

That's me on the Palomino-He's an amazing horse and does anything I ask him to do. What an unbelieveable experience to be able to carry in the American Flag(my dad is in the Air Force & had just returned from the desert about a 1-1/2 month earlier) That was always something I wanted to do & my horse did a fantastic job.
